Woman Got Fired After Watching Too Much Porn

A woman lost her job and managed to mount up debts of $6,000 after she became addicted to internet porn. 29-year-old Jessie Maegan would watch videos on porn sites for up to eight hours every day and put her personal life in jeopardy because of her serious addiction. “I’d watch it on my phone in the park at lunchtimes and on my breaks from work. I’d be counting down the minutes until I could finish my shift and get home to watch more.”

In an interview, Jessie explained how her need to watch porn became so strong that she would even view videos in public places. She would stay in most afternoons and stay up until early in the morning, meaning that she was incredibly tired and lost touch with her friends and family.

“At the height of my addiction I’d spend hours alone, looking at sites such as Pornhub and RedTube. I started paying for the exclusive content because by then I felt like I had seen it all,” said Jessie. “I’d lose track of time, sometimes not getting to bed until 4am. It’s amazing to think that some days I’d watch over eight hours of porn.“
